Double manual harpsichord
The duke of Köthen ordered a double manual harpsichord from Michael Mietke; between 1718 and 1719 Bach followed the construction of this instrument and it is for this reason that the name of the german builder is associated with that of Bach.
The original harpsichord is kept at the Schloss Charlottenburg in Berlin. On request I can supply an elegant stand with turned legs, and a painted case and lid with Chinoiserie. A 61-note version (FF - f3) is also available.
